Hi, I’m ALLA MARCHENKO. Happy to be here at the beginning of Seniors Month in Ontario. Let me introduce myself.
I’m the President of the Aurora Philosophy Institute (API) and a Real Estate Broker with Right at Home Realty in Newmarket. I hold a Masters degree from Kiev Polytechnic State University, Ukraine, where I studied Engineering & Philosophy.

Charles Cummins.
The API is a non-profit organization, federally incorporated in Canada since 2019, dedicated to community outreach, education, public policy, and research that will have practical results for our communities.
We have grown very rapidly in the last four years and have been involved with a number of successful projects, including a You Tube Channel, a Blog, a Research Paper series, the Aurora Philosophy Journal, and several Regional and International Chapters.
We are excited about the Philosophy Project for Seniors 2023-24.
The Philosophy Project For Seniors (PPS) will consist of a series of on-line adult educational seminars and discussion groups, and one or more outdoors in-person events (for those able to attend).
By delivering high-level virtual educational programs and opportunities for social interaction the project provides many benefits. These include a reduction in social isolation, the promotion and development of mental acuity and well-being, the promotion of volunteerism, a sense of community and well-being.
The PPS engages our senior citizens in particular, with philosophical concepts and ideas of value to the community
