Poetic /Metaphorical Philosophical Leanings Shishir Lakhani

Life is time dependent, long and yet too short for all that seems yet to do.

I recall those infinite possibilities what I might do when I grow up

'When I grow up I will….'

Now perhaps I am grown up

Alas who am I fooling?

I learn more … day in day out

The More I learn the more I realize how little I know

How could I be grown up?

I daresay I should continue to recite

'When I grow up I will….'

Things looked so clear in my youth… I was cocksure what was right and what was wrong

I knew what I liked …what I detested

I thought I knew history … as though anybody knows true history

The true history unbiased by the subjective leanings of the thinker

A slow realization; A gradual dawning;

I think much now

I can no longer tell black from white

I only see the empathized grey

Glad I should be that I have woken up from the deep dark slumber

The deception of knowing it all

Starting to see from different perspective

Starting to see both sides of the coin

Starting to find that balance

Starting to really grow up

Good heavens - I am sending my vocabulary to war

Using my mind as the bow and words as the arrows
