Spring Philosophy Party 2024: Remarks by Alla Marchenko, President Aurora Philosophy Insitute

REMARKS by ALLA MARCHENKO, President, Aurora Philosophy Institute, 14.03.2024

Thank you John,

And thank you all for coming out to our spring philosophy party tonight.

I hope that everyone has had a good time and a great dinner.

I’m really happy that we have been able to put on some social events this year including this one. The API has a large presence online including YouTube, the Website and Zoom meetings, but I think you would agree with me that this personal face-to-face interaction is both invaluable and enjoyable.

I still think that the API project is quite unique and has great promise for developing the love of wisdom!

We have a great team of enthusiasts like John & Ronen.

We keep growing thanks to you, and we appreciate your support and cooperation for the last five years. And I should admit that it was a very exciting and challenging journey.

Going forward we have a big vision for this creative project. Stepping into the unknown can be thrilling when it is done together. What New Horizons can we explore together next? In many ways creating a ‘safe space’ is  at the heart of open dialogue. A safe space in a discussion invites open dialogue without fear of judgment or criticism. It’s about mutual respect and understanding, allowing for honesty and vulnerability. Let’s reflect on how we can enhance these safe spaces together for deeper, more meaningful conversations.
